The man sees the car.
The car is the direct object in
this sentence. The man is the subject. In German we
then have the phrase:
Der Mann sieht das Auto.
There are loads of examples for
den Brief. = He writes
|Wir kaufen das Auto. = We buy the car.
|Ihr lest das Buch. = You (all) read the book.
| Wir bauen das Haus. = We build the house.
The question for the direct object is What?
He eats an apple.
What does he eat?
