31.3.3 Comparative - Subordination

Subordination can be seen in two different ways: with a comparative of superiority and an adjective/adverb of inferiority or with a negative form of the comparative of equality.

Some examples for comparason of superiority with inferior adjective

Dieses Zimmer ist	billiger	als	das nebenan.
The room is	cheaper	than	the one next door.
Die Rosen sind	hässlicher	als	die Nelken.
The roses are	uglier	than	the carnations.

Some examples for negative form of equality
Dieses Zimmer ist	nicht so	teuer	wie	das nebenan.
The room is	not as	expensive	as	the one next door.
Die Rosen sind	nicht so	hübsch	wie	die Nelken.
The roses are	not as	beautiful	as	the carnations.
