Until now we have always sai that the declension is
determined by the gender and the number. In the chapter
declension
in German we have seen that there are 9 types of
declensions. With the declension of adjectives we
have (luckily) not 9 different types but only four.
a) declension without any article
b) declension with a definite article
c) declension with a indefinite article
d) declension with a possessive pronoun or kein, keiner
etc.
The declension of the adjectives varies according to
the situation a), b), c) or d). The function of the
adjectives stays the same and the declension is still
depending on the gender and number of the noun that
is described independent whether there is an article
or not.
The few exceptions shall be left aside for the moment.
First we have a look at the declension and we'll summarize
everything at the end.
