If we now check the table very carefully we'll notice
that for some verbs the indicative form (the one stating
facts) is the same as the conjunctive form (the one
expressing possibilities). If you think: So what? Rest
assured that this will come back to us.

As shown in the table the weak verbs are worse (see
above). The strong ones are a bit easier because of
the change of the vowel in many cases. Still the present
indicative is in many forms identical with the conjunctive.

Many interesting issues result from this fact that the conjunctive is not clearly formed. You might say that the English conjunctive I is identical with the indicative and in conjunctive II identical with the imperfect. But the conjunctive is used very restrictedly in English. Therefore the risk for confusion is not as bid as in German. We'll see what the Germans do to avoid misunderstandings.
